Water

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this "sludge" reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.
A serious note about heart attacks - You should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.
You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know the better chance we could survive.

DRINK WATER ON EMPTY STOMACH
D RINK WATER ON EMPTY STOMACH

It is popular in Japan today to drink water immediately after waking up every morning. Furthermore, scientific tests have proven its value. We publish below a description of use of water for our readers. For old and serious diseases as well as modern illnesses the water treatment had been found successful by a Japanese medical society as a 100% cure for the following diseases:
Headache, body ache, heart system, arthritis, fast heartbeat, epilepsy, excess fatness, bronchitis asthma, TB, meningitis, kidney and urine diseases, vomiting, gastritis, diarrhea, piles, diabetes, constipation, all eye diseases, womb, cancer and menstrual disorders, ear nose and throat
diseases.

4. After 15 minutes of breakfast, lunch and dinner do not eat or drink anything for 2 hours
5. Those who are old or sick and are unable to drink 4 glasses of water at the beginning may commence by taking little water and gradually increase it to 4 glasses per day.
6. The above method of treatment will cure diseases of the s ick and others can enjoy a healthy life.

The following list gives the number of days of treatment required to cure/control/reduce main diseases:
1.      High Blood Pressure (30 days)
2.      Gastric (10 days)
3.      Diabetes (30 days)
4.      Constipation (10 days)
5.      Cancer (180 days)
6.      TB (90 days)
7.      Arthritis patients should follow the above treatment only for 3 days in the 1st week, and from 2nd week onwards – daily.

This treatment method has no side effects, however at the commencement of treatment you may have to urinate a few times.

It is better if we continue this and make this procedure as a routine work in our life. Drink Water and Stay healthy and Active.
This makes sense. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals, not cold water. Maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating!!! Nothing to lose, everything to gain...

Social networking

Reading about social networking building I came across an article which can be summarized as: many people turn to networking when they're looking for a job, but the best time to build your network is before you need something; and the best time to keep that network strong is always. But what is the best way to do that? Simply collecting business cards and attending events may expand your number of contacts, but does not increase the likelihood that those contacts will benefit you in the future. To reap the benefits of networking when you need them, you must know how to make your network work for you, and how you can work for your network. The most universally agreed upon networking tip is this: Offer to help others first and they will return the favor.
To gain credibility, which can grow, one has keep appointments, act on promises, verify facts, and render the service that is expected of him.
Networking well makes for a brighter future, it is advisable to think beyond a current need. People tend to forget about the importance of long-term credibility because they're so focused on making an immediate sale. But with that approach one can only eat what he kills that day. Focusing on becoming known and trusted instead; a long-lasting relationship is more beneficial to both parties.

Network

A network is where two or more computers are linked together in order to share information and hard ware. At home for example I have a small network where my printer and scanner are shared. That way I don’t have to buy a separate printer and/scanner to my wife and my laptop.

Some weeks ago, in our information systems class, we talked about systems. There, it was mentioned that one characteristics of a system is that “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts”. This phrase explains networking very well, because a network is not just a collection of computers connected with each other with cables. Having a network that is properly implements and running is having an advantage fare greater than the individual computers or cables involved in the network can do. It brings users capabilities and benefits above and beyond the individual machines or soft ware applications can provide.
Networking has the advantage of connectivity and communication. A small group of people in a building can be connected into a local area network (LAN). This LANs in distant locations can be interconnected into larger wide area networks (WANs). Through these connections, it is possible for network users to communicate with each other using technologies such as electronic mail. This makes the transmission information easier, more efficient and less expensive than it would be without the network.

Networking also have an advantage of Data Sharing- Before networking was common, an accounting employee who wanted to prepare a report for her manager would have to produce it on his PC, put it on a floppy disk, and then walk it over to the manager, who would transfer the data to his PC's hard disk. This is also very important for small home connection as well because data sharing enables users to share printers and scanners in a very basic stage.

In a business environment, a network also allows the administrators to better manage the company's critical data. Instead of having this data spread over dozens or even hundreds of small computers in a haphazard fashion as their users create it; data can be centralized on shared servers. This makes it easy for everyone to find the data, makes it possible for the administrators to ensure that the data is regularly backed up, and also allows for the implementation of security measures to control that can read or change various pieces of critical information

Networks also facilitate many types of games and entertainment. The Internet itself offers many sources of entertainment, of course. In addition, many multi-player games exist that operate over a local area network. Many home networks are set up for this reason, and gaming across wide area networks (including the Internet) has also become quite popular. Of course, if you are running a business and have easily-amused employees, you might insist that this is really a

1.Innovation
When I think of innovation, the first thing that comes to my mind is something big and new that did not exist before. When one outstanding member of a group or a company turns upside-down the old way of doing things and come with something fresh. The discussion in class about innovation last time was very helpful (at least to me) to shed more light about radical or incremental innovation and its processes: divergent or convergent although, I still hesitate sometimes to differentiate whether something is innovation or not at first sight. The thing is sometimes you see little changes on products and people cherish it as different and innovative. Fore example, I read in an article this week about apple. It goes ‘Apple Remains America’s Most Innovative Company’.
For the sixth consecutive year, Apple ranked number one in Business Week’s 50 most innovative Companies report. The report goes on and mentions that Apple is sometimes criticized for not being an innovative company, i.e. they don’t create completely new ideas or products. The Ipad, for instance, builds off not only Apple’s own history with touch-screen devices like the iPhone and the iPod touch, but also on tablet computing devices that go back literally decades .However, what makes a company like Apple (and Google) innovative is not that it creates something completely new every single time, but that it is able to iterate designs, devices and functionality so hat products are popular with consumers and successful financially’.

2.Closed versus open innovation

Companies used to attain competitive advantage by funding large research laboratories that deal with all new ideas, creativity that give the company a new product or service which would make it to stand above the competitors. This older model of closed innovation reminded me of countries in the past when border between them and nationalization was meant so much more than anything else.

Closed innovation is vertically integrated that any innovation or new change or improvement is only expected from within the firm’s boundaries. A company with this model usually assumes, it has the best work force to innovate, it will always be the first one to get the new product or service to the market when discovered, and it can control its intellectual property so that competitors can not benefit from the new idea and so on. However, several factors prove this assumption wrong which led to the erosion of this closed innovation model (Chesbrough 2003). For one thing, the availability of highly educated people has increased over time and this led to realization of availability of knowledge outside the research laboratories. In addition the mobility of employees enabled the transfer of knowledge. When employees change jobs from one company to another, they take knowledge along with them to their new working place. Moreover, availability of venture capital increased the development of new ideas and technology more and more.

These factors led to the birth of open innovation, which is more transparent and go beyond the borders of a company. Companies started to look for innovate from outside the firm through licence agreement and out-licence ideas that does not fit with their over all strategy. Thus open innovation can be described as innovation which combines internal and external ideas.

Closed innovation
The red lines are research projects that are complete but never made it to development stage. we can see that as well the boarders of the firm is less transparent from it's outside environment.

Open innovation
less transparent boarders and exchanging projects with the outside.

A system

Our class for this week started with defining what system is and bringing ideas and examples of a system. It did not take time for almost everyone to mention at least one system or bring examples of systems. This is due to the fact that almost everything have a system or so much things humans or machines can do has been increasingly assembled or incorporated in to a system for different reason; for efficiency, effectiveness, cost reduction, better performance, etc.

A system can be defined as ‘a group of interdependent items that interact regularly to perform a task’.

It was stressed in class that designing a system begins with defining the objective which followed by setting the boundaries, inputs, process and out put.
Objectives are the expected end results or output which can be implicit or explicit.
Input is something that is put into a system or in the process to achieve output or results. Out put is the end result of the system or process it can be information, product, service etc. Output can be the individual result of a single sub system or a big system and the output of one part of a system can be an input to another part of a system

In a system one has to look at individual components that make up a system. These components can be parts, elements, variables or sub-systems. They can be physical objects that can be felt or they can be abstract objects or ideas that can not be found or touched. Another big issue to consider is also the internal relationships among the objects of a system besides the environment in which the system exists. All these elements of a system play an important role. Taking into consideration all this elements mentioned above a system can be then defined as ‘a set of things that affect one another within an environment and form a larger pattern that is different from any of the parts’

An example of a system
